While the weather in South Bend is getting colder, the recruiting for Brian Kelly and his Notre Dame staff is heating up.
IrishEyes.com has learned that Notre Dame received a commitment from cornerback Bennett Okotcha (5-foot-11, 175-pounds).
"I made a few phone calls, and I've committed to Notre Dame," Okotcha, said. "I talked to coach Cooks and he said he was excited and how everyone was excited for me to be a part of Notre Dame."
Okotcha is the third verbal commitment the Irish have received in a week's time and is the 19th overall commitment for the Irish.
Okotcha had been committed to Wisconsin before switching to Notre Dame. He is ranked as the No. 40 cornerback by Scout.com.
IrishEyes will have more on this story shortly.
