Ohio is loaded at defensive end in the Class of 2012. One player the Irish are showing heavy interest in is Se'Von Pittman of Canton (Ohio) McKinley High School. Irish Eyes has highlights of Pittman in action.
At 6-foot-4, 225-pounds, Se'Von Pittman has the size and physical ability to be a major pass rushing end at the next level. Considering he still has another year of high school to finish, you can see why college coaches are extremely high on the Canton (Ohio) McKinley prospect.
Check out Pittman in action as see for yourself why Irish assistant coach Dave Warinner has already stopped in to see Pittman's head coach Ron Johnson and told him the Irish are looking to make an offer.
Strengths: Speed off the edge to cause quarterbacks problems in getting set up while still being able to breakdown and stop the run.
Weakness: Questions about academics may slow Notre Dame from offering early. Needs to gain weight over the next year to get to about 235-pounds.
