Richardson Cuts Irish

Although there had always been hope that offensive lineman Antonio Richardson would end up at Notre Dame, Richardson recently left the Irish off his final list of schools

Despite rumors and specualtion that the Notre Dame coaching staff made a big push for Antonio Richardson after the U.S. Army game, he won't be making a return trip Notre Dame anytime soon.

"I really liked Notre Dame, but I really don't think it's the place for me," Richardson said "I've seen Notre Dame and it's a great school, but it's gotten to the point where I have to let some schools know that I won't be attending their school.

"I know for sure that it won't be Notre Dame."

With Notre Dame eliminated from consideration, there are still six schools that have a shot to land the talented offensive lineman.

"I'm down to LSU, Georgia, Miami, Tennessee, Auburn and USC," he said. "I'll either be taking a visit to LSU or Tennessee this weekend.

"The following weekend I might be Miami. I'm not really sure about that right now. And then January 28 I really want to visit USC, but we'll have to see how it goes."
