Chase Hounshell had planned a visit to Notre Dame this weekend several weeks ago, but what he hadn't planned on is that he'd be committed to the Irish at this time. In fact, Chase scheduled an unofficial visit this weekend to evaluate Notre Dame a little more prior to making his decision.
After a visit by the Notre Dame coaching staff on Monday night, Chase didn't want to wait any longer and he committed to the Irish. That didn't mean he wanted to cancel his visit.
"Yes I am," Hounshell said when asked if he would be at Notre Dame this weekend. "I'll get there about noon on Saturday.
"I'm not really looking for anything. I'm really just coming over to hang out. I want to meet all the commits that are there right now and the guys that are coming in for their visits."
