Decision Time for Huggins

The No. 4 ranked running back in the country, Savon Huggins from St. Peters Preparatory School (Jersey City, N.J.) will announce his college decision today.

Reports circulating that Savon Huggins (6-foot-0, 200-pounds) has been leaning to one school, or that he has eliminated one of his finalists are apparently premature.

According to his father, Wendell Huggins, nothing has been released and everyone will find out where Savon will be attending college later today.

"Everybody is speculating on what is going to happen, but everybody will find out (Friday)," Mr. Huggins said. "He (Savon) hasn't spoken with anybody this week. I haven't spoken with anybody this week. Tomorrow is the day everyone will know where he is going.

"He will be deciding between North Carolina, Notre Dame and Rutgers. He'll be announcing his decision at 5:00 p.m. at St. Peter's."

As a senior, Huggins carried the ball for over 1,900 yards and 35 touchdowns. He was an UnderArmor All-American and the Gatorade Player of the Year for the state of New Jersey. Top Stories
