ON THE FIELD
Turn on the film and Aaron Lynch jumps out at you from his defensive end position. Lynch explodes off the line and is a terror offensive linemen fear when assigned to block him one-on-one. Lynch explodes into offensive linemen getting them out of step to make a proper block to stop him.
After winning the battle, Lynch does a great job of shedding and making the play. However, battles are won on physical ability and not technique at this time. This is where his game will take the biggest growth at the college level.
While Aaron's polished in playing the run, his greatest strength is his ability to rush the passer and apply pressure from his burst and ability to use his great balance and body control to get over the trash at his feet.
If Aaron Lynch uses the spring to get a handle on his techniques, he will have a great chance of playing a vital role during the 2011 season. He has all the tools and the spring will give him the early start to take his game up another level.
This was a great get for the Irish and Notre Dame fans should be excited to see how the Florida native does in spring practice.
