Notre Dame was very fortunate in early December when they offered cornerback Bennett Okotcha, then committed to Wisconsin, a scholarship and Okotcha almost immediately flipped his commitment to Notre Dame.
Okotcha had committed to the Irish without seeing the Notre Dame campus. On January 21, Okotcha took his official visit to South Bend to confirm his pledge.
Well the luck finally ran out for the Irish today. IrishEyes has confirmed with a source close to the situation that Okotcha had another change of heart and de-committed from the Irish and committed to play for the Oklahoma Sooners, just two days before national signing day.
