The second of 22 expected player profiles for national signing day looks at defensive line prospect, Brad Carrico.

Brad Carrico (DE – 6'6/270): One of five defensive line recruits for 2011 and joins Chase Hounshell as well as Tony Springmann as possible help for the future offensive line…Notre Dame's first verbal commitment of 2011 (March 20), Carrico joins fellow DE Aaron Lynch, OLB Ishaq Williams, K Kyle Brindza, and QB Everett Golson as semester recruits who'll begin to compete with the football team in spring ball…Has similar size to Springmann and both are familiar to the Irish staff as Ohio/Indiana natives.

Baumhower on Carrico: He's a versatile athlete that could play multiple positions. He comes from the same high school as Brady Quinn and Chinedum Ndukwe

Berk on Carrico: A player Brian Kelly started recruiting early while still at Cincinnati that allowed him to get a start to the Class of 2011. Carrico is a "RKG" and has the ability to play on either side of the ball. Will start as a defensive lineman, however, fully capable of moving over and becoming an offensive lineman at some point in his career.
