All Irish: Nick Martin

Versatility key for Martin as he looks to compete for two-deep role along the Irish offensive line.

Nick Martin (OL – 6'5/250): One of three offensive line recruits in addition to a trio of incoming frosh that could play on the offensive side of scrimmage over their collegiate careers…A high school tackle, Martin has the versatility to move inside to guard, especially in Year One where the Irish are especially thin heading into 2011 spring…Brother Zack became a 13-game starter and the position group's MVP in 2010 after enjoying a redshirt year in 2009 as a true frosh.

Kelly recruiting profile: Power
Returning offensive linemen: Braxston Cave (C), Lane Clelland (T), Taylor Dever (T), Mike Golic (G/C), Christian Lombard (T), Zack Martin (T), Tate Nichols (T), Andrew Nuss (G/T), Trevor Robinson (G), Chris Watt (G/C)

Baumhower on Martin: Notre Dame didn't offer him early, so he found a spot at Kentucky. Once Notre Dame offered him a scholarship it was only a matter of time until he followed his brother to Notre Dame.

Berk on Martin: After watching his brother (Zack) excel this past season, I expect Nick to come in with more of a comfort level and understanding of what will be expected out of him. Feel his best football is still ahead of him.
