Ifeadi Odenigbo set to visit

With track season right around the corner, Ifeadi Odenigbo knows he will not have a lot of time to visit colleges that have interest in him. However, there is one school he is excited about making an unofficial visit to.

With a Junior Day fast approaching, coaches from Notre Dame have been hitting the recruiting trail looking to get prospects on their board on campus. One prospect who plans to make a visit it Ifeadi Odenigbo of Centerville (Ohio) High School.

The 6-foot-4, 201-pound defensive end has seen ten programs now offer him a scholarship with many more looking to add their name to his growing list. However, Notre Dame is a program that has caught his eye.

"I'm catholic myself, and I know all about the tradition of Notre Dame. I will be going up with a teammate (Benny McGowan) and I look forward to seeing everything I can about Notre Dame."

Irish coaches have been in contact.

"I talk with Coach Hinton all the time and have also spoken with Coach Martin and Coach Diaco."

While the Irish are a program high on his list, a decision on college could be down the road.

"I plan on sitting down with my family and discussing everything with them. It will be my decision and my parents will support me in making a great college choice. I hope to be able to make my decision before the end of summer; however, if I am not ready I will wait and take a few official visits to help me."

We will continue to follow the progress of Ifeadi Odenigbo in the coming weeks and following his visit to Notre Dame.
