Ross to visit Irish

Michigan native has grown up watching Notre Dame, now the plan is to check out the Irish next weekend.

With a growing offer list, James Ross of Orchard Lake (MI) St. Mary Prep has a school he's been following since childhood. Notre Dame, the Irish are talking with the outside linebacker, and Ross is looking to make a visit.

"Notre Dame, I have a high interest in them and have been following them since I was a child. Notre Dame is a very prestigious school and a lot like my high as it has a very traditional base. We go to church every day before each of our games and to be able to go to a school like that would be an honor."

With a handful of offer from the likes of Michigan, Michigan State, and Ohio State, Ross knows it is still early with the Irish.

"I have only talked with them a few times, but they have expressed they like my talent and I plan on going out for their Junior Day to check them out."

Another reason for such high interest is they stories he's heard from a good friend who has family ties to the Irish.

"I have not been on campus yet, but I hear it is a beautiful campus. I have talked with one of my good friends whose cousin is Jerome Bettis, he has told me how great of a school Notre Dame is to attend and the quality of degree you will earn. When you talk about Notre Dame, it is academics first and then to top it off, football is pretty good also."

We will check back with James if me makes the trip to South Bend for the Irish Junior Day next weekend. Top Stories
