Blake Bars looking forward to Irish visit

A Notre Dame legacy is looking forward to a return trip to South Bend. Irish Eyes spoke with Blake Bars to get the latest.

It has been a solid week for Nashville (Tenn.) Montgomery Bell offensive tackle Blake Bars. Picking up offers from Mississippi State and Florida has the 6-foot-5, 255-pound offensive lineman excited about his trip for Junior Day at Notre Dame.

"I now have offers from Vanderbilt, Boston College, and Florida offered on Monday. Mississippi State just offered also. I am going up for Junior Day this weekend at Notre Dame and I hope it goes really well. My dad (Joe Bars) played at Notre Dame and it is such a great school. I hope something positive happens with Notre Dame."

While he is getting the normal amount of mail from the Irish, it was visit this fall and conversations with Coach Tim Hinton that has him excited.

"I have talked with Coach Hinton a few times. He seems excited about me coming up for Junior Day. I had gone up there early in the fall and had a chance to sit down with him a little bit."

Blake fully understands Notre Dame takes their time during the recruiting process and knows patience will be important.
