Despite all the recruiting attention that he's receiving, D'Vario Montgomery (6-foot-3, 195-pounds) hasn't let himself get overwhelmed. Montgomery is going to take his time as he works his way through the recruiting process.
Notre Dame is a school that has offered him a scholarship and he's starting to learn more about the school.
"I don't know much about the school, but I'm doing my research on them," he responded when asked about his interest in Notre Dame. "I know it's a pretty good school. I love their football team. I like the way handle their football players, but other than that I really don't know much about it.
"I like the atmosphere up there (Midwest). I've been up there before, but I've never been to Notre Dame. I've been up in the area for a wedding and I liked it. I loved the atmosphere.
"I really don't know much about the coaches," he said. "I like coach Alford though. He's pretty straightforward. He's a person that I could trust and bond with."
With over 20 scholarship offers already, Montgomery will have his choice of top football programs he can play for.
"Everything is up in the air for me right now," he said. "I'm not interested in any one school. I don't think I'll know that until I take my official visits. For right now, everything is up in the air and I don't have a favorite school or everything.
"I really haven't visited any schools yet. I've been focusing on my schoolwork, so I don't have to play catch-up my senior year. I'm trying to graduate early, but I'm not sure yet."
As a junior, Montgomery had 42 catches for 1,150 yards 13 touchdowns. He added three interceptions on defense.
