Solid D-Back Talks Recruiting

This fine defensive back prospect has offers and a brother that plays Big Ten football. He's listing Notre Dame among his early favorites.

Kwame Ageyman, a 6-foot, 195-pounder, from Itasca (Ill.) Lake Park will be heavily recruited in 2003. Kwame is the younger brother of University of Illinois defensive back Nana Ageyman.

"Right now, I have scholarship offers from Indiana and Northwestern," Ageyman said.

"My favorites are Oregon, Iowa, Notre Dame, Illinois, Penn State and Vanderbilt. I don't have a leader at all.

My brother (Nana) told me to go into the process with an open mind and to take my visits. He told me to concentrate on the upcoming season and recruiting will take care of itself."

Ageyman was named conference most valuable player in 2002 and he was also a 1st team all-area selection by the Daily Herald.

Kwame had 90 tackles, four interceptions and two fumble recoveries as a junior.

"I'm going to the (Ann Arbor) Nike Camp next weekend and I haven't decided on any summer camps as of yet." Ageyman said. Top Stories
