Bradley hopes to keep his word with Irish

One thing you quickly learn about Bam Bradley is he works hard to keep his word. For that reason, the Ohio safety is looking to make a trip to South Bend and Notre Dame.

For Bam Bradley recruiting is old hat. His brother Chris Wright went through the rigors of the process in basketball before signing with the University of Dayton. In addition, this past season his brother Nicholas Grigsby signed with Pittsburgh in football.

Now it is Bam's turn and with a familiarity with some of the coaches at Notre Dame, Bam will look to make visit.

"Notre Dame is a real big and very prestigious school," Bradley told Irish Eyes. "They are a private school and have top tier academics. I have known Coach (Tim) Hinton and Coach (Brian) Kelly for a while as they use to coach my cousin Greg Moore when they were at Cincinnati. I know the coaching staff a lot and talk with them whenever I can."

While the Irish have yet to offer Bradley, he plans to make a visit to campus.

"I told the coaches I would go up there and take a visit. I am a man of my word so I am going up there and checking things out. I want to see campus and see what they have to offer me and talk with them about what I am looking for in a college. Notre Dame is something I am looking into because of their great academics."

While the Irish are expecting a visit, there is talk Bradley is looking to join his brother at Pittsburgh.

"Playing with Freezer (Nicholas Grigsby) is a real big thing as I wanted to go to the same school with him because we played so well together in high school. However, I will not say that is my top option because we are two different people."

This past season found Bam and his teammates on the verge of a state championship. Coming up short has left a sour taste in their mouths and set their goals higher for this coming year.

"That will be the goal being we go there and lost. We know what needs to be done to get there so we fully understand we need to work harder than everybody else in Ohio. This is our only goal as we have won our conference, district, and region. So this is the only thing we need to accomplish now."

While Bam is considered one of the top players in Ohio and the Midwest, he knows there is still work to be done.

"Right now the main thing I am working on is getting faster and to be more lean. I am also working on my ball skills at safety because I have progressed so much since my freshman year. That was the first year I played safety and I need to continue working on my footwork, ball skills and speed."

Irish Eyes will continue to check with Bam on when he will schedule a visit to Notre Dame.
