"Notre Dame had stopped by my school and talked with my high school coach. They got my highlights to look at."
Following his in school visit, Irish coach Tim Hinton was able to speak with Kyeremeh about the Irish and any interest they may have.
"I spoke with Coach Hinton and he was telling me about how great a program Notre Dame is and how they have already offered two corners who have given them commitments. He says they are still looking for one more and the coaches will soon be looking at my highlights."
For Kyeremeh, there are a lot of programs taking notice since he posted a handheld time of 4.3 at a recent combine. Because of his speed, Boston College, Akron and Toledo have issued offers with many more taking hard looks.
"I have been getting a lot of schools starting to take notice since the MSR Ohio Combine. Notre Dame is a school I would really consider because they are close to home and they are a real good school for academics."
Nana knows the Irish are not ready to offer a scholarship and would like for him to make a camp visit.
"Coach Hinton said they would really like for me to come up for a one-day camp in the early summer. Right now I will be looking to attend if at all possible."
At just under 5-foot-11, and weighting 165-pounds, Kyeremeh may be on the light side; however, you cannot discount his speed. Nevertheless, Nana knows there is still work needed to his game.
"I need to get quicker out of my breaks and with my cuts. I have speed, but I must be able to recognize what the receiver is doing so I can jump more routes. I have been playing safety in high school and for me to play corner I will need to work on these things."
Could Nana Kyeremeh be a hidden gem for the Irish in the Class of 2012? It is too early to say, however, Irish Eyes will be checking back for the latest.
