Price looking to camp at ND

Josiah Price may be a name not many are familiar with in Notre Dame recruiting. However, the Indiana native has heard from and visited the Irish in the past month. Irish Eyes spoke with Price following the Nike Combine in Columbus.

While Notre Dame fans look at the list of offers already handed out, they sometime forget there could be players emerge from camps that turn a few heads. One such play could be Josiah Price of Greentown (IN) Eastern High School.

Price, who stands 6-foot-5, 240-pounds, has the long frame Irish strength Coach Paul Longo likes to work with. Nevertheless, Price knows he'll have to turn some heads in camp to have a chance with the Irish.

"I've had a lot of contact with Notre Dame as Coach (Mike) Elston stopped by school and I've spoken with him on the phone. So I feel I have a pretty good relationship being built with Coach Elston. I went to Notre Dame for a spring practice and really liked what I saw. Notre Dame is a cool place with a lot of tradition.

"It was really fun to visit there so I'm going to go to their camp most likely this summer and compete to try and earn a scholarship if I show up well."

As for his visit, Price saw a team working hard and not messing around.

"I remember how upbeat and quick their practice was and how they don't mess around. They are full go going from one drill to the next. They have shorter practices, which I like. But they go hard and quit when it is time to be done."

Price currently holds several offers from Mid American Conference programs but is looking to open some eyes with BCS programs in June.
