Darrell Jackson had a great junior season. He threw for 2,072 yards and 13 touchdowns. He also rushed for 1,222 yards and 18 touchdowns but Jackson should not be considered an option or running quarterback. "We run the spread offense," said Jackson. "We run a lot of three and four wide with one back. We might go to two-back this year but we throw the ball a lot."
Jackson has a few offers under his belt as well. "Missouri, Illinois and Kansas has offered me so far. Indiana, Oklahoma, Iowa, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame and Miami are sending me letters."
Jackson said he doesn't plan to go to many camps. "My team is going to a team camp at Illinois and then we do a lot of lifting and seven-on-seven in the summer. I don't plan on going to any camps."
The Missouri prospect also knows what he wants in a school. "Education is important. I am not sure what I will major in so I will be looking at that. A good program is also important. The offense they run and the coaches are important. I want to go to a passing offense that also runs the ball."
Jackson says he has a 2.8 core GPA and has taken ACT recently but has yet to receive his score.
Notre Dame does interest Jackson. "I'm pretty interested in Notre Dame. The education is good and they have a great program. I have been getting letters from them but I will have to see how interested they are in me."
Comments. Notre Dame has been in contact with Jackson. They seem interested but haven't been sending him a lot of letters. He is a guy to keep an eye on.
