Having already added a few offers to his early list, Middletown (Ohio) High School quarterback Jalin Marshall found another after his camp performance at Notre Dame. How was his day?

"I was very excited about it and loved everything about it," Marshall said about the Notre Dame experience. "I'm on the way back now from Notre Dame and yes, they offered me."

Listed by as a quarterback in the 2013 class, Marshall knows the Irish are looking to find the best fit in their system.

"They are recruiting me as an athlete. Quarterback, running back and wide receiver."

One thing the Irish did do was get an early start with Marshall.

"I talk with Coach (Tim) Hinton about once a week for an hour or so. I've gotten to know him real well. We have a real good relationship and now I'm working on getting to know the other coaches."

One thing you could tell by talking with Jalin was his excitement about his Irish visit.

"I just loved it. I had a chance to go around everywhere and I just fell in love with it the first time I saw it."

Joining Notre Dame as programs who have offered are Cincinnati, Illinois, Pittsburgh, and Ohio State. What is Jalin looking for in a program?

"The academics have to be high. Then I'm looking at location and then of course the athletics and who has the best chance to win a National Championship."

Did he ever feel things would be happening so early?

"No not really, not at all. I knew it would come and I just needed to go out and show them what I was capable of doing."

When it comes to his on the field game, Marshall knows his strengths.

"My speed and ability to get away from whoever is guarding me with moves and things like that." will be following the recruitment of Jalin in the coming months. Top Stories
