Brandon Nicolas plays for one of the most storied programs in California in Mater Dei. He had a good junior season recording 46 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, five sacks and three blocked kicks.
Nicolas also has two offers so far. "Colorado and Arizona State have offered me. I am hearing from everyone in the PAC 10 and Oklahoma, Nebraska, Ohio State, Michigan and Notre Dame," said Nicolas.
Nicolas should be set with a 2.96 core GPA. He hasn't taken the test yet but should do fine.
The big lineman says he doesn't care which position he plays in collge. "I just started playing offensive line last year. I have been playing defense mostly but I like both. I don't really care, I will play where they want me to play."
Many California players don't want to leave California to go to school but Nicolas says that won't bother him. "I have lived in New York and Ohio before we moved out here. I like California the best but I wouldn't mind leaving the area."
Many schools are starting to get interested in Nicolas. "Oklahoma was at the school today. Arizona State just called. Washington State was by the school and I think USC called earlier tonight but I wasn't home."
Nicolas knows what will be important to him. "My head coach and position coach will be important. I want to play for an enthusiastic coach with a good record, a players coach."
The top schools for Nicolas right now? "Colorado, Arizona State, UCLA, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Michigan. I am open to about anyone."
Comments Brandon is a solid kid who seems very interested in Notre Dame. He said Coach Baer has been by his school twice last year and had shown interest in him. He doesn't seem to mind leaving and should have the grades. He will be a player to watch this year.
