Reschke High on Irish

Birmingham Brother Rice (Mich.) linebacker Jon Reschke is a prospect many college programs are keeping an eye on. With a couple of early offers already in hand, Reschke is hoping to hear more from Notre Dame. We have the latest.

While Notre Dame continues work on the class of 2012, it is already looking at several prospects for the 2013 class.

One of those players is Birmingham Brother Rice (Mich.) linebacker Jon Reschke, who camped with the Irish this summer.

"I went down to their future stars camp this summer and it was pretty good," Reschke said. "I'll probably go down again for a game to check them out. Hopefully good stuff happens in the future with them."

With early offers from Michigan State and Toledo, does Reschke have high interest in the Irish?

"Definitely, Notre Dame is one of the top schools on my list," Reschke said. "(Assistant) coach (Chuck) Martin is my recruiting coach and he said they like me a lot. But it is definitely a process at Notre Dame and they want to watch me play during my junior year and give me some feedback. So we'll see what happens."

While at camp, the 6-foot-2, 220-pound Reschke had a chance to check out campus.

"I took a tour around campus and it's incredible as there is so much history and tradition there," Reschke said.

IrishEyes.com will continue to check back with Reschke as the recruiting process continues.

One interesting fact regarding Reschke is a tie between him and the Irish staff.

Former Brother Rice player John Goebel played for Brian Kelly at the University of Cincinnati. Jon's brother Mark is a coach at Brother Rice.
