Odenigbo Says No Plans Set for Visits

With his cell phone ringing off the hook with recruiting reporters from across the country, Ifeadi Odenigbo has not given much thought to his official visits. The four-star outside linebacker talked with IrishEyes.com about when he might make it back to Notre Dame.

Ifeadi Odenigbo understands fans from several schools want to know the latest developments in his recruiting. However, the 6-foot-4, 220-pound outside linebacker from Centerville (Ohio) High has other things on his mind.

"We're in the heart of getting ready for our season," said Odenigbo. "We have already had a scrimmage and have one Friday night against LaSalle at home. I've not really thought too much about taking any visits lately."

Despite the focus on his upcoming senior season, Odenigbo knows plans have to be made.

"I'm planning on talking with coach (Ron) Ullery soon about when I can take any of my official visits," Odenigbo said. "We look at Friday night's game film on Saturday mornings, about six in the morning. So it will really depend on when I can get up to Notre Dame after we look at film."

There is one game on his mind for a possible return date to South Bend, Ind.

"I would really like to visit for the USC game if possible," said Odenigbo. "But right now I'm just concerned with getting ready for this season."

With his season opener set for Aug. 26 against Cincinnati (Ohio) Elder, Odenigbo knows the work being done by him and his teammates is more important than the school he'll sign with in February.

"Today, we had practice from two until six," Odenigbo said. "We lifted before we had practice so that makes practice even harder. So right now I'm really tired and just think about what was done today and what I'll need to do tomorrow."

IrishEyes.com will be checking out the Elks early this season and will continue to check with Odenigbo for the latest in his recruitment.
