California Back Has Three Offers

Centennial high school in Corona, CA has long been a school that produces top talent. This year Terrell Jackson will be another to continue to legacy. Jackson is a 5-9, 188-pound running back with 4.46 speed. Many schools are interested in Jackson and he has three offers so far.

Terrell Jackson had a monster junior season rushing for 2,344 yards and 44 touchdowns while also catching 25 passes for 424 yards and 6 touchdowns. Jackson only plays offense, he's probably too tired to play defense.

"Right now I have offers from Oregon State, Cal and Hawaii," said Jackson. "Washington and Oregon have called me so far. Florida State, Oklahoma, Washington, Utan and Oregon State have stopped by my school."

Jackson is set academically as well. "I have a 3.0 core GPA and I scored a 890 on my SAT."

Playing time will be important to Jackson. "I am looking for a school where I can play early. I have to find a place where I feel comfortable. I will live there for four years so I have to feel comfortable. I don't mind leaving California for the right school but I also want my family to see my games."

Jackson says he doesn't have a list of top schools at this time. "I am going to wait until after this summer to try to narrow it down. There are a lot of schools interested in me so I will have to see who offers me and then I will come up with a top 10 or whatever by the end of the summer. I plan to take all my visits so there is no hurry."

Notre Dame is one school he would leave California for. "Notre Dame is one of my favorites. I would leave to go there if that is the right school for me. I just like their tradition. It's a running back school. They have had so many great players. They have the gold helmets, Rudy, the 'Play Like a Champion' sign. I am interested in being one of those players that gets to experience that."

Comments. Jackson seems wide open at this point. I think Notre Dame will have a shot but I do think the Pac 10 schools will be tough to beat. I don't think we will know how interested Jackson is until Notre Dame offers. He is a polite kid and would fit in well at Notre Dame. Top Stories
