Houston Back Likes Irish

Booker T. Washington high school in Houston, TX is home to Brandon Jackson. The 6-0, 212-pound running back has the attention of some of the top programs in the country.

Brandon Jackson rushed for 700 yards on 50 carries last year and 10 touchdowns. He also has 4.5 speed to go with his big frame and college coaches have taken notice. "I don't have any offers yet but my coach says that they are coming. Tennessee, Oklahoma and Wisconsin have said they are going to offer. Oklahoma has called me."

Many other schools are also interested. "Texas, Houston, Syracuse, Oklahoma State, Notre Dame, Baylor, Iowa, Iowa State, Nebraska and Missouri write me all the time," said Jackson.

Jackson said he has a 2.7 core GPA and scored a 720 on his first attempt at the SAT.

Jackson also has an idea of what will be important to him. "I want to major in business management so a good business school is important. I will look at the envirnoment and how I fit in with the coaches and the players and I will look at the overall attitude of the school."

The Houston prospect says he plans to take all of his visits and distance won't be a problem for him.

Jackson also had a list of his top schools at this point. "I would say Oklahoma, Texas, Oklahoma State, Tennessee, Missouri, Wisconsin, Oregon State, Arkansas and Notre Dame."

Comments. Brandon is a great kid and very polite. His SAT score will have to improve quite a bit for him to be accepted into Notre Dame. I will keep an eye on him.
