Top Linebacker has 13 Offers

Brandon Siler hails from Evans high school is Orlando Florida. The 6-3, 215-pound linebacker with 4.5 speed has received offers from some of the top programs in the country. Are the Irish in the mix for this top prospect?

Brandon Siler is a hot prospect. He has a large list of offers from many of the top programs in the country. "I have a lot," said Siler. "Florida State, Florida, Georgia Tech, South Carolina, USC, Tennessee, Central Florida, LSU, Michigan, Maryland, Ohio State, Stanford and Louisville are some of the schools that have offered."

Academics are also something that Siler excels at. "I have a 3.6 core GPA and I scored a 1000 on my SAT."

Siler has his list made for things he is looking for in a school. "I like individual attention. I don't want to be just another football player. I have to fit in with the team, the coaches and feel comfortable. I want to go to a school where I have a good chance to go to the pros. Academics are important and I want to play for a team that will contend for the National Championship."

Many schools are in the mix for Siler and he doesn't plan to narrow down his list for a while. "I am going to take all my visits. I don't want to go to one school and then get blown away by them and commit. I want to take my time and get to know the coaches. I haven't had the chance to speak to many coaches so I don't even know what I'm supposed to look for at this point. I'm real open right now. I don't have any favorites or a top five. I'm interested in everyone right now."

When you have the offers that Siler has there is no reason to go to camps. "I went to the Nike Camp. I am not going to any other camps." When told he had nothing left to prove, Siler had this to say. "I guess not, I never thought of it that way."

Siler watches a lot of football and he says he studies a lot of players. "I don't think I play like any one guy. I like Ray Lewis' game. I'm not sure I'm like him though. I like to talk a whole lot. I would say my game is up-tempo. I watch a lot of guys and I'm not afraid to steal from anyone if it makes my game better."

For some reason, Notre Dame hasn't been in contact much with Siler. "They send those letters that you print a thousand off and just type in the name. I like them but they just don't send me a lot and haven't shown a lot of interest in me. They haven't sent me anything that was hand-written."

Comments. Here is a perfect example of a player the Irish should be in on if they like him. He has the physical skills to be a great player and he has the grades. Hopefully the Irish will be in touch with him very soon. They are going to have to be or they will be left out in the cold.
