Impressive Pa. Quarterback

With the implementation of the West Coast offense at Notre Dame comes the recruiting boom of strong-armed drop back quarterbacks. Pennsylvania's Bryan Savage was impressive at the Nike Camp and he'll camp at Notre Dame this summer.

"Wisconsin is still my only scholarship offer," said quarterback Bryan Savage.

"I've gotten calls this month from Central Florida, Duke, Notre Dame, Michigan State, Wisconsin and Maryland.

"The more I hear about Wisconsin, the more I like it. Everyone keeps telling me how beautiful the campus is and I'll be going on an unofficial visit to Wisconsin this summer.

"I've done a lot of research on Wisconsin's football program and school. I can't wait to meet the coaching staff this summer."

The 6-foot-4, 210-pounder, from Haverford, Pennsylvania held his own and then some at the (State College) Nike Camp.

Whispers from experts attending that camp are saying that Savage had the same ability as national quarterback recruits Chad Henne and Anthony Morrelli.

Does Savage have a leader at this time?

"Not right now. My favorites are Wisconsin, Michigan State, Notre Dame and Maryland. I'm still hoping for an "Elite 11" invite and I'll probably attend a few other camps this summer as well." Savage said.

Bryan Savage threw for 1,460 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2002. He also rushed for seven scores. Top Stories
