Future Irish in Action

Not all of the members of Notre Dame's recruiting class are in action this weekend. We have a look at each verbal pledge along with two very high profile targets.

Our weekly review of where Notre Dame pledges are headed this weekend to compete.

Tee Shepard: Fresno (Calif) Washington Union
Nothing has changed in the ongoing battle between Shepard and the California Interscholastic Federation in Shepard's eligibility. However, there is talk a solution could soon be coming and Shepard may get on the field. At this time Shepard is working on his skills during practice and has things in order to enroll early at Notre Dame.

Taylor Decker: Vandalia (Ohio) Butler
Coming off a hard loss a week ago should have Decker and his teammates ready to bounce back against 0-6 Sidney High School.

Ronald Darby: Oxon Hill (MD) Potomac
After a rough start to the season, Darby and his teammates have rallied to three victories in a row. This week they will be tested against 4-1 Surrattsville.

Scott Daly: Downers Grove (IL) South
The Mustangs look to earn their seventh victory of the season as they host 1-5 Proviso East on Friday night.

Nick Baratti: Spring (TX) Klein Oak
Back to back wins have Baratti and his teammates ready for a hard test against 5-0 Houston (TX) Dekaney High School.

Justin Ferguson: Pembroke Pines (FL) Flanagan
Ferguson and his Falcons teammates have the week off with Hallandale set for next week.

Mark Harrell: Charlotte (NC) Catholic
Harrell and the Cougars remain perfect with a 6-0 record as they had a week off. Friday night they take on 3-4 Harding University.

C.J. Prosise: Woodberry Forest (VA)
Prosise and his teammates crushed Collegiate on Thursday night 42-0 for their third win of the season.

Deontay Greenberry: Fresno (Calif) Washington Union
Greenberry continues to tear things up and Friday night will be on the road at 1-3 Dos Palos. Expect the Panthers to record their fifth win of the season.

David Perkins: South Bend (IN) Washington
Perkins and his teammates got back to winning last week and will look for their sixth win against 0-6 Benet Academy.

John Turner: Indianapolis (IN) Cathedral
A hard fought win last week put the Irish above .500 for the season and this week they host 4-3 Arsenal Tech.

Romeo Okwara: Charlotte (NC) Ardrey Kell
Okwara and his Knights loss a hard fought battle Thursday night to a 5-1 Butler High School team moving them to 4-3 on the season.

Sheldon Day: Indianapolis (IN) Warren Central
The Warriors perfect season remains intact as they head for a long road trip to 3-4 Terre Haute (IN) South Vigo High School. Jarron Jones: Rochester (NY) Aquinas Institute
Jones and the Little Irish will look for their sixth victory of the season against Buffalo (NY) Canisius High School on Friday night.

Chris Brown: Hanahan (SC) Hanahan
Brown and his teammates will look for their third victory of the season against 2-4 Academic Magnet High School on Friday night.

William Mahone: Youngstown (OH) Austintown-Fitch
Last week was the high of highs and the lows of lows for Mahone and his Fitch teammates. On the field the Falcons dropped their third game in a row and made dreams of a playoff run almost nonexistent. Off the field, Mahone pledged Irish to the delight of those close to him and Irish faithful across the world. This week Mahone hopes to get back on the field and 2-4 Hoover could provide the medicine to get healthy.

Ifeadi Odenigbo: Centerville (OH)
The 3-3 Elks have a conference match-up against Northmont on Friday night. Next Friday they battle their biggest rival Huber Heights Wayne. Things are still up in the air for Odenigbo with the Irish and others in pursuit.

Keith Marshall: Millbrook (NC)
It's been an up & down season for Marshall and his teammates. Last Friday, Marshall had a big game with 289 rushing yards. This week his team will look to post their fifth victory of the season over 3-4 Heritage High School.
