Drew Weatherford has eight offers so far. "Auburn, Louisville, Minnesota, South Florida, Tulane, Tennessee, Duke and SMU have offered me so far," said Weatherford.
Many other schools are interested and could be offering soon. "Notre Dame came down on Friday and they said they were really impressed. They are going to go back and then decide who they offer. Michigan and North Carolina said the same thing. I talked to Florida State tonight and they said I should know by the end of spring. Iowa also seems very interested. Basically a bunch of schools have said they are very interested and I should hear from them soon on an offer."
Weatherford sees his situation as an opportunity. "I think I am going to go to a few camps now. After spring I will sit down with my parents and figure that out. I think some schools are very close to offering and if I attend camp, they might offer. Notre Dame and Michigan are two schools that I will probably camp at. Georigia is another school that seems close to offering so I will probably go there. I will probably pick out three or four to attend. I will probably attend a couple days of each."
Florida State has been a school at the top of his list as Weatherford grew up a Seminole fan. Weatherford says everyone is even right now. "To be honest, no school has the upper hand. It's really up in the air right now. All the other schools have just as much to offer and maybe more."
Weatherford says he has a list of top schools right now but that might change. "Florida State, Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee, Notre Dame, Texas, Michigan, Oklahoma, Louisville and Pittsburgh are the schools I'm most interested in. Only two out of the 10 have offered me at this point but these 10 have shown strong interest in me so far. This might change with other schools getting involved."
Comments. It's a good sign that he will camp. I think Weatherford is interested in Notre Dame but not sure if they will offer. He will have the same opportunity as anyone if he attends camp. Should be one interesting camp with all the quarterbacks indicating they will attend camp.
