Ohio 2013 Linebacker has Interest in Irish

Ohio 2013 linebacker added a new offer to his growing list this week. However, another team also has his interest.

Ben Gedeon of Hudson (Ohio) High School is now up to five scholarship offers after Michigan State joined Boston College, Tennessee, Michigan and Northwestern by offering the 6-foot-2, 200-pound linebacker this week.

However, Gedeon has another school he hopes will show interest in the near future, Notre Dame.

"I've not had much contact with them (Notre Dame)," said Gedeon about the Irish. "But I'm definitely interested in Notre Dame."

One thing Gedeon hopes to be able to do is take a few visits before the season is over.

"I haven't really figured it out yet," Gedeon said about visiting Notre Dame. "I'll probably only be able to get to one or two more games this year. So I'll have to plan it out and see what it brings."

One reason holding Gedeon back from making more visits is the on field success Hudson is having this fall.

"Our season is coming along great," said Gedeon. "We're 6-1 right now and ranked sixth in Region Two, so if we win out we'll be like the fourth or fifth seed. We've not been to the playoffs in about nine years here at Hudson, so that would be exciting."

Besides the five offers another adversary of the Irish is keeping close contact with Gedeon.

"I've been talking with Stanford a little bit," Gedeon continued. "They've shown some interest in me as well as Ohio State."
