The victory kept the Middies in the hunt for a Greater Miami Conference title and possible playoff run. How has Marshall's season been so far?
"It's going pretty good," said Marshall. "We beat Sycamore this past week. Hopefully it will help us get n the playoffs. However, we need to keep winning and keep getting better each week."
Ranked third in their region, Middletown controls its own destiny with two games remaining against teams with a combined 12-4 record. However, while Marshall is staying focused on the task at hand, he knows this weekend could be a trip to remember.
"This will be my first Notre Dame game," said Marshall. I'm looking forward to going up there with my mother and brother to see everything."
Working hard for the Irish is running back coach Tim Hinton. What type of communications has Marshall been having with coach Hinton?
"I've not spoken with him in about a week," said Marshall. "I plan on talking with him this week."
Marshall hopes this visit to Notre Dame will help him when the time comes to narrow things down.
"I'm not in a big hurry," said Marshall. "I'm trying to narrow things down and to make good decisions after I see each school."
As for what he's seen of the Irish this season, Marshall expects Saturday's game will offer a chance for him to learn more about the Irish.
"I've really only seen them in one game," said Marshall. "I've not really had much of a chance to catch them play this season."
