Future Irish in Action

All members of Notre Dame's recruiting class are in action this weekend. We look at each verbal pledge along with two very high profile targets who'll be making official visits following their games on Friday night.

IrishEyes.com scanned around the country to see where members of Notre Dame's recruiting class of 2012 are in action.


Tee Shepard: Fresno (Calif) Washington Union
Nothing has changed in the ongoing battle between Shepard and the California Interscholastic Federation in Shepard's eligibility. Shepard will be in South Bend for his official visit this weekend and has made the decision to work towards being an early enrollee.

Taylor Decker: Vandalia (Ohio) Butler
Decker and his teammate's loss only their second game of the season last week against Lebanon. Now they'll head to Piqua High School to battle the 4-4 Indians. Decker plans to be on hand for Saturday night's game against USC for an unofficial visit.

Ronald Darby: Oxon Hill (MD) Potomac
Darby will not be making a trip to Notre Dame this weekend having already taken his official visit. His team has won five in a row and will look to add a sixth victory on Saturday afternoon against 3-4 Crossland.

Scott Daly: Downers Grove (IL) South
Off to an 8-0 start has Daly and his teammates looking for a state championship. Friday night will be a major test for the Mustangs as they'll face a 7-1 Addison Trail program before Daly heads to South Bend on Saturday for the Irish battle against USC.

Nick Baratti: Spring (TX) Klein Oak
Baratti and his teammates posted a 45-21 victory over Tomball on Thursday night moving to 5-3 on the season.

Justin Ferguson: Pembroke Pines (FL) Flanagan
Ferguson is slated to take his official visit this weekend after he battles against 4-1 Western on Friday night. On the season Flanagan is 3-3 overall.

Mark Harrell: Charlotte (NC) Catholic
Harrell and the Cougars remain unbeaten (8-0) on the season and will take on 3-5 East Gaston on Friday night. Harrell is expected to be on campus for the USC game for an unofficial visit.

C.J. Prosise: Woodberry Forest (VA)
Prosise will have to watch the Irish on television this weekend as he's got an afternoon game on Saturday against 1-4 Kiski School. On the season Woodberry Forest is 4-2 overall.

Deontay Greenberry: Fresno (Calif) Washington Union
Greenberry will be having a whirlwind weekend as he's scheduled to take his official visit at Notre Dame over the weekend. However, first he'll look to help his team stay unbeaten against 5-1 Chowchilla High School.

David Perkins: South Bend (IN) Washington
Perkins and his teammates got back to their winning ways a week ago and will look to close out the regular season against 2-7 Kankakee Valley High School. Perkins will be on campus Saturday for an unofficial visit.

John Turner: Indianapolis (IN) Cathedral
Last week was a big win for Cathedral as they knocked off Ohio power Cincinnati Moeller High School 26-24. This week it should be a little eaiser as the Irish will take on 3-6 Mooresville High School. Turner will be on campus Saturday for the USC game as an unofficial visitor.

Romeo Okwara: Charlotte (NC) Ardrey Kell
The Knights will look to keep on their winning ways as they'll travel to 3-6 Rocky River on Friday night. Okwara is expected to be on campus for the USC game as an unofficial visit.

Sheldon Day: Indianapolis (IN) Warren Central
Another Irish pledge who is part of an undefeated team is Day. Friday night will have the Warriors looking for their tenth victory of the season against 5-4 North Central High School. Day will also be on campus Saturday night for an unofficial visit when the Irish battle the Trojans.

Jarron Jones: Rochester (NY) Aquinas Institute
Jones and his teammates suffered their first loss of the season against a tough Cathedral Prep team. This weekend the Little Irish will battle 7-1 Wayne High School. Jones is also scheduled to be on campus for an unofficial visit this weekend.

Chris Brown: Hanahan (SC) High School
Brown's return to the lineup after being out with an injury since the second week of the season was a major help to Hanahan on Thursday night as he caught five passes for 130 yards and four touchdowns in helping his team to a 57-6 victory over Stall High School. Brown is also expected to be on campus for an unofficial visit Saturday.

William Mahone: Youngstown (OH) Austintown-Fitch
Mahone and his teammates will look to win their third game in a row when they take on 2-6 Lake High School on Friday night. Mahone, who already took his official visit with the Irish will be back on campus for Saturday's big game.


Ifeadi Odenigbo: Centerville (OH)
Odenigbo and the Elks earned a major win last week against rival Wayne High School but now must continue their winning ways if they hope to keep their hope alive for a playoff berth. Odenigbo will take his official visit this weekend with his mother but must help the Elks knock off 2-6 Springfield before leaving home.

Keith Marshall: Millbrook (NC)
Before making his way to Notre Dame for the start of his official visit with the Irish, Marshall must help his team knock off 8-1 Wake Forest-Rolesville.
