Treadwell liked what he saw from the Irish offense in the limited amount of time he was on campus.
"It was great," said Treadwell. "It was a great atmosphere, great field, and great offense.
"I could see myself playing in that offense. I could see myself playing a little outside and a little on the inside."
One thing that stood out for the Crete (IL) Monee High School wide receiver was the crowd.
"It was a great crowd," said Treadwell. "I didn't really get a chance to see things around campus or get a chance to speak with the coaches as I didn't arrive until about the second quarter."
Because of his late arrival Treadwell also didn't get a chance to connect with any of the Irish coaches.
I didn't get a chance to catch up with coach (Chuck) Martin or any of the coaches," said Treadwell. "I left right after the game but I'll look to get back to Notre Dame sometime this summer."
What other programs have caught his eye, and what is the 6'3", 190-pound receiver looking for in a school?
"Right now I'm looking at Nebraska, Wisconsin and Penn State," said Treadwell. "I'm looking at coaching, the leadership of the team and at the other players being recruited to play there. I'll also look at the facilities and fan base."
With Notre Dame being a short drive from home, how much of a factor will distance play in his recruitment?
"I don't see distance being much of a factor," said Treadwell. "It will be more about where I feel comfortable and where my mom feels will be best for me."
