How was the day overall?
"It was good," said Turner. "It was nice seeing all the other commits and the other recruits there and getting to know them. The Notre Dame atmosphere was wonderful last Saturday."
While Turner knows several of his future teammates, several commits were on official visits and gave him a chance to meet them for the first time.
Some have wondered how the Irish staff would connect with so many pledges and recruits on hand all at the same time. How did the Indianapolis (IN) Cathedral standout feel the day went?
"I knew there was going to be a lot of guys there," said Turner. "I didn't expect the coaching staff to give me a lot of attention. I was fine with that as I knew they needed to be working on the guys they are still recruiting. Overall it looked like everybody was enjoying their time."
Despite the loss, Turner has strong feelings about where this team stands.
"I think Notre Dame is a good team," said Turner. "However, turnovers have been their problem especially in the red zone."
As for the change of pace with the game under the lights, sound system and new helmets, Turner was positive.
"It was nice being at Notre Dame for a game under the lights," said Turner. The new gold helmets were cool and overall the experience was great."
