"We had a good run," said Odenigbo. "We started the year at 1-3 but fought back and finished with a 7-4 record."
The loss ended his season and allows for the 6-foot-3, 217-pound outside linebacker to make an official visit this weekend.
Also coming up will be an official visit to Northwestern and maybe a few other schools.
"I know for sure I'm going to visit Northwestern on December 3rd," said Odenigbo. "The other two visits I'm not sure I'm going to use, we'll see how all this goes. If I do take more visits I'll look at Ohio State, USC, Cal, and maybe UCLA."
One person who came away from his official visit to Notre Dame impressed what his mother.
"She absolutely loved it," said Odenigbo. "She loved the campus and the environment. She didn't really want to drive for four hours to get there, but after seeing everything she said it was worth it."
One thing that might change this winter is Odenigbo taking part in indoor track. However, he also has a couple of more football games on his schedule.
"I might not do indoor track," said Odenigbo. "I'm in a lot of AP classes and I want to make sure I take care of business. I'm playing in the Under Armour All-American game and I've also been selected to play in the USA vs. the World game."
While Odenigbo would like to be finished with the recruiting process, he knows his final decision will play a major role in the rest of his life, so don't expect any quick decision after this weekend.
