Brandon Robinson had an outstanding junior season. He caught 53 balls for 777 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also had eight interceptions on defense--four he returned for touchdowns. He also returned two kicks for touchdowns.
Schools are starting to discover Robinson. "I have offers from Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Vanderbilt and Boston College right now," said Robinson. "Stanford says they will offer in June and Northwestern said their offer is coming. UCLA and Notre Dame also called me in May.
Academics is another area that Robinson excels. "I have a 3.3 in my core right now. I haven't taken my test but will soon. Education will be very important to me. The diversity of the school is also important. The quality of the education and the alumni support will be a factor and I will look at their graduation rates for their athletes."
Robinson plans to attend a few summer camps this summer. "I am going to camp at Boston College and Stanford. I will try to visit a few one-day camps as well. I will go to Notre Dame for sure. I've been there already. I played soccer my whole life. I've only played football for two years but I've been to Notre Dame playing soccer before. I only started to play offense this last year."
The Minnesota prospect says he doesn't see himself dragging out his decision. "I don't think I will take five visits. Maybe three or four but I'm not sure. I will decide when I find the right school and when that happens, I will commit."
Comments. Notre Dame kid all the way. Fits the mold perfectly. I'm not sure if he is a top prospect at this point but we know how we like those soccer players. Could be some untapped potential here and a solid kid as well. One to keep and eye on.
