Wolford Keeping in Touch with Irish

Growing up, John Wolford dreamed of playing at Notre Dame growing up. Now the Jacksonville (FL) Bishop Kenny quarterback has taken another step he hopes will give him an offer from his dream school.

John Wolford has already seen significant playing time as a freshman and sophomore at Jacksonville (FL) Bishop Kenny High School.

Last week Notre Dame running back coach Tim Hinton made a stop in Wolford's school checking on a few prospects at the school.

"Coach Hinton came down to my school to see some of my teammates," said Wolford. "I have spoken with him in the past and they wanted to see my highlights from this season. I was not able to talk with coach Hinton because of NCAA rules, however, he did speak with my coach and got my highlights."

At 6-foot-2, 197-pounds, Wolford knows the fact he's a member of the class of 2014 gives the Irish time to check out his skills and allow him to continue improving his game. Having camped this past summer in South Bend, Wolford could also look to make a return trip this summer.
