Could Irish Be In The Running?

One of the top wide receiver prospects in the class of 2011 could be looking at Notre Dame after spending the past few months at another program.

A year ago Scout.com four-star wide receiver DeAnthony Arnett of Saginaw, Michigan was one of the top prospects in the class of 2011.

Holding offers from Notre Dame, Michigan, Michigan State, USC and others, Arnett surprised many when he pledged to Tennessee.

After posting 24 catches for 242 yards and two touchdowns, the 6-foot, 185-pound Arnett has reportedly informed the Vols staff of his intentions to leave the program for personal family reasons (fathers health).

At this time three programs look to sit at the top of Arnett's list as Notre Dame, Michigan and Michigan State would seem to be likely destinations considering Arnett is hoping to apply for a personal hardship waiver and take the field next season at his new school.

Irish Eyes will have more on Arnett's interest in Notre Dame soon.
