Adam Speer had a solid junior season for Chaminade College Prep high school. He recorded 88 tackles and 6 tackles for loss on defense. He recorded 64 pancake blocks and only allowed his opposition to make 10 tackles all season. He graded out 92 percent on the year as an offensive lineman and was perfect in all snaps as a long-snapper.
Speers has offers from UC Davis, Boise State and Oregon as of right now. "I received a ton of calls. All the Pac 10, Boston College, Notre Dame and Colorado were some others."
The Irish appear very interested in Speer. "They came by my school and they called. I am going to their camp on June 29th. They told me that they have around 80 recruits they are looking at and only four on the west coast and that I am one of them."
Speer is also interested in Notre Dame. "They're a winning program. Their tradition is awesome. They're a great academic school. My room is covered in Notre Dame posters and I have a lot of Notre Dame clothing. I'm a big fan."
Academics is another area Speer excels with a 3.7 in his core g.p.a. and scored an 1,100 on his S.A.T.
Speer hopes to get his decision out of the way. "I'm trying to get it over with early. I'm going to take some unofficial visits and see who offers. If I have the right schools offer me, I will commit early." Speer plans to visit USC and UCLA this summer as well.
His top schools? "Notre Dame, Boston College, Stanford, Oklahoma, Oregon and USC would be my top schools right now."
Comments. If Notre Dame offers Speer, they should be in it until the end. He is a big fan and hopes he receives and offer from the Irish. I think the Irish will be very tough to beat if they offer.
