Bryant Holding Irish Offer

With a state championship to close out his junior season, class of 2013 running back Greg Bryant already accumulated numerous offers from elite programs from across the nation. This week he added a new one in Notre Dame. Bryant spoke with about the new offer.

The quest for the next big-time running back at Notre Dame has the Irish looking to Florida at Delray Beach American Heritage School and Greg Bryant.

This week the Irish gave the 5-foot-10-190-pound Bryant a nice surprise.

"They offered me," Bryant told "I was surprised because I never really looked at Notre Dame before. They said they like me a lot and have been watching my film and want me to visit."

Bryant knows his knowledge of the Irish is limited but he's looking to change that.

"To be honest I knew Jerome Bettis played at Notre Dame," said Bryant. That was about it. I've seen the movie Rudy and have watched a couple of games. However, I never really looked into them. I would like to look more into them and hope to come up for a visit."

The Irish along with Alabama, Oklahoma, LSU, and Florida are recruiting Bryant as a running back. What does Bryant feel he brings to the field?

"I can make people miss," said Bryant. I can also break tackles. I need to work on my explosiveness in the open field and my blocking."

Bryant already has some thoughts on when his recruiting will end and what he's looking for in a program.

"I'm looking for a team that will run the ball and has good academics," said Bryant. "I want somewhere I can go play and know they will treat me like family. Right now I feel I be going into my senior year before making a choice. I plan on waiting and to make sure I make the best choice." Top Stories
