All Irish: Chris Brown continues its signing day coverage with a profile of the class's fastest incoming offensive recruit.

Chris Brown (Wide Receiver – 6'3" 175 pounds): The Irish need a perimeter threat that can run past the secondary and Brown appears to fill that role in the 2012 class… The nationally-known track competitor appears to possess the ability to go after the ball at its highest point as well as a willingness to sacrifice his body for poorly thrown passes over the middle: two traits that will serve him well as a young player at the collegiate level (not to mention in August camp under the discerning eye of a head coach that preaches toughness at every position)…Brown should benefit from the presence of Deontay Greenberry, a more highly-regarded player at his position, as the bulk of the pressure to produce right away falls on his west coast classmate…His apparent vision in traffic could provide early backup duty behind star kick returner George Atkinson…A rotation spot (top six) is there for the taking in the Irish wide receivers corps next fall though Brown's best football at the next level will likely be as an upperclassmen.

Kelly Recruiting Profile: Skill

*Veterans returning at wide receiver: Expected 5th-year senior John Goodman; senior Robby Toma; junior T.J. Jones and Daniel Smith; redshirt-sophomore Luke Massa; redshirt-freshmen DaVaris Daniels and Matthias Farley (*denotes eligibility entering 2012)

Fellow incoming wide receiver prospects: Deontay Greenberry and Justin Ferguson

Berk on Brown: If Brown can stay healthy he'll have a chance to be a special player in the Irish offense. Shows all the skills you want out of a top flight receiver with solid hands and the ability to score when he touches the ball. Needs to add some bulk to his frame but shows great physical strength to go with his ability to make quick cuts and accelerate after the catch

Dohn on Brown: An elite triple jumper, the 6-foot-3 Brown is a long body who fits the mold of a bigger receiver who can be a big-play threat in the passing game. He needs to get bigger, but he will have time to grow into the position.
