John Kadous has one offer so far. "Arizona has offered me so far," said Kadous. "North Western and Colorado State are talking about offering me. Washington, Northwestern, Colorado State, Notre Dame, UCLA, Arizona State, San Diego State, Utah and Arizona called me in May."
Defensive line coach Greg Mattison spoke with Kadous in May. "He came by the school and then called me later. He came out to see me for a spring practice. We talked about the practice and said he was excited to see me at their camp. He told me that he wanted me to meet with the admissions department and the coaches and that I would probably leave with an offer after camp."
Kadous says that he is interested in Notre Dame. "I'm very interested. I've always followed Notre Dame. Their tradition is incredible. They have always been high on my list."
Kadous plans to attend the second camp beginning on June 29th. He also plans to take unofficial visits to Oregon and Washington this July.
Kadous says he plans to take all his visits and will decide sometime in January. "I just want to make sure I make the right decision. I will look at the coaching staff and see how the offensive line coach gets along with his players. Academics will be very important. I will check into their graduation rates for their athletes."
The Tucson star also excels in the class room with a 3.3 core and score a 1010 SAT. He says distance won't be a problem for him. "It's not a problem. If it works out that Arizona is the best school for me then I will go there. If Notre Dame or Washington is the best school for me, I will go there. The distance won't be a problem."
Comments. A good sign is that he is coming to camp. If he is offered, I expect him to strongly consider Notre Dame. He is the classic Notre Dame kid and would fit in very well. If the Irish offer, I expect Notre Dame to be near the top of his list if not the top school.
