Houston Planning Notre Dame Visit

Saturday found Dublin (OH) Scioto running back William Houston taking part in the Nike Football Sparq Combine with over 1,500 high school prospects. Following his work on the field, Houston spoke with IrishEyes.com about his summer plans that include a trip to South Bend.

With his first offer (Bowling Green) on the table, running back William Houston of Dublin (OH) Scioto High School is looking to open some eyes this spring and summer.

On Saturday, Houston took the first step towards adding to his offer list with a solid performance at the Nike Football Sparq Combine and spoke to Irisheyes.com about his interest in the Irish program.

"Notre Dame is a great school," said Houston. "They have a great tradition and the education is amazing. I'm definitely planning on camping there this summer."

Along with the Irish, Houston has other programs lined up to visit as well.

"This summer I'm also going up to Wisconsin, Missouri and Ohio State for defense," Houston explained.

While Bowling Green may be his only offer to date, several programs are keeping in contact with the 6-foot, 220-pound running back.

"I'm hearing from a lot of schools right now," he said. "Cincinnati, Duke and Northwestern have been in contact a lot."

IrishEyes.com will continue to follow any developments between the Irish and Houston in the months to come.
