Redding Hopes To Visit Irish

Michigan native Teo Redding had another big day on Saturday at the Nike Football SPARQ Combine. Afterwards, Redding spoke with IrishEyes.com about his interest in Notre Dame.

While not one of the marquee names in the class of 2013, wide receiver Teo Redding continues to impress at each event he attends.

On Saturday, Redding joined over 1,200 high school prospects in Massillon, Ohio for the Nike Football SPARQ Combine and left ranked among the Top 50 prospects to participate.

Standing 6-foot, 150-pounds, Redding posted a laser time in the forty-yard dash of 4.65, and 20-yard shuttle of 4.28 to earn an overall SPARQ rating of 88.59.

One program showing some interest has been Notre Dame.

"I'm highly interested in Notre Dame," said Redding. "I hope to visit there soon as they invited me to their Junior Day and send me info all the time."

One reason for Redding's interest is the success shown by one of the program's top players the past few years.

"I like how Notre Dame had one of the best wide receivers in college football in Michael Floyd," Redding said. "I really like how they throw the ball and get their receivers involved in the game plan."
