Ohio TE to visit Irish

Ohio tight end Greg Hart will soon be making a visit to Notre Dame. Hart spoke with IrishEyes.com about the interest he's receiving from the Irish.

One prospect adding scholarship offers over the past few months is Kettering (Ohio) Alter tight end Greg Hart. At 6-foot-5, 225-pounds, Hart now holds a dozen offers with a couple of big programs starting to express more interest, including Notre Dame.

"I've been talking with Notre Dame a little bit," said Hart. "I'm going to attend their spring game with Malik (Zaire) on the 21st. I've talked with Coach (Mike) Elston a little but nothing too extreme. He's stayed in touch and has invited me to attend their Junior Day and spring practices."

Much like high school teammate and Irish quarterback pledge Zaire, Hart is starting to learn college coaches respect players who play within a system.

"The one thing I think Malik and I have over other people is our work ethic," said Hart. We're always working on getting better and I think that is one thing people do notice."

With the Irish having offers out to several tight ends already, Hart understands he may have to wait awhile before the Irish step forward with an offer. But with Zaire in the fold the Irish could find themselves with a slight advantage if they offer.

IrishEyes.com will check back with Hart following his visit to Notre Dame later this month.
