"The Virginia schools are at the top right now and everyone else is kinda in the mix right behind them," Liberty coach Sean Finnerty said. "He will make some summer visits and I think his decision will end up in late June or July. I don't think he'll go much further than that."
Teller was supposed to visit Notre Dame in late March, but he had to cancel at the last minute. This spring the Irish were among a host of schools to stop by Liberty and check in on Teller.
"Notre Dame and Michigan, they really have to step it up," Finnerty said. "It can still happen. He's still looking at those schools. He still likes those schools."
Also working against the non-Virginia schools is location.
UVa's campus is located 63 miles from Bealton. Virginia Tech's campus is 208 miles from Bealton.
Meanwhile, Notre Dame's campus is 630 miles from Liberty High.
"I think distance may wind up playing more of a part now," Finnerty said. "I don't think it will be a deal-breaker, but I think that may wind up factoring in."
