Irish Mob Ready to Converge

Look out South Bend, the self-proclaimed "Irish Mob" is headed your way this weekend. Notre Dame pledge Malik Zaire gives the latest as members of the 2013 recruiting class prepare to meet on campus.

With a big weekend ahead at Notre Dame, Archbishop Alter (Kettering, Ohio) quarterback and Irish pledgeMalik Zaire is getting a head start growing his bond with several of his future teammates.

"I'm going up to Columbus and staying with Mike (Heuerman) for a few days," said Zaire. "We're going to spend a couple of days together before we go up to Notre Dame. I'm going to ride up to campus with Jacob Matuska and we're going to get together as a lot of the guys are going to be up there."

With the recent additions of Jaylon Smith and Isaac Rochell, Zaire is happy with the direction the class has taken.

"We're doing a really good job of recruiting," said Zaire. "We're finding the right guys to fit into the mix. This weekend almost all the committed guys are going to be there.

"As of right now, Alex Anzalone is going to be the only uncommitted guy that is going to be there. But we'll have James (Onwualu), Devin (Butler), Steven (Elmer) and Hunter (Bivin) all there.

"The only guy who is not going to be there is Corey Robinson as he's doing a lot of things for summer school and traveling with his dad around the country." will be checking back with Zaire and other members of the class following their visit this weekend for more details on how the "Irish Mob" has grown.
