Cooper Ready for ND Experience

After working with Notre Dame defensive line coach Mike Elston during the R.A.S Camp a couple of weeks ago, Demetrius Cooper is ready to show other Irish coaches his skill set. When will Cooper head to campus?

Chicago (IL) Julienne defensive end Demetrius Cooper has turned heads at several camps he's attended in the month of June.

Cooper, who stands 6-foot-5, 225-pounds, found Irish defensive line coach Mike Elston as one of his instructors and enjoyed the experience.

Because of the experience, Cooper will head to Notre Dame and camp.

"I'm going to Notre Dame on the 22nd," said Cooper. "I feel I'll do well up there and hope to earn an offer from the coaches."

Cooper, along with many of the campers found the experience to be rewarding.

"R.A.S. was a good experience," said Cooper. "There were college coaches there and they had a chance to meet me and everything."

As for his upcoming date with the Irish, Cooper is excited to make a return trip to South Bend.

"I'm very excited to get down to Notre Dame again," said Cooper. "I was there my sophomore year for a football game, but I'm excited to get back there for a camp and to see everything.

"I want to accomplish a lot in getting to know more about the coaching staff and hopefully get an offer from them."

We will follow up with Cooper after his camping experience later in the month. Top Stories
