Robinson Hoping for Irish Offer

The Irish have had some luck recently pulling some of the top prospects out of the state of Alabama. Justin Tuck, Mitchell Thomas and LaBrose Hedgemon are some of the more recent success stories. The Irish are again searching Alabama and having some luck. One prospect the Irish appear very interested in is Tuscaloosa, AL corner prospect Travis Robinson.

Travis Robinson plays corner and wide receiver for Hillcrest high school in Tuscaloosa, AL. The 5-11, 180-pound corner prospect recording 43 tackles and 5 interceptions last year. Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Clemson and Vanderbilt have offered him already. Notre Dame, Northwestern and Arkansas are also recruiting him heavily.

Notre Dame is one school that Robinson has a strong interest. "I've been in contact with them every week. I talk to Coach Miles all the time. He said the next time I talk to him he wants to get Coach Willingham on the phone with me but I don't know if they will offer me then. They say they want me to come down there for a visit."

Robinson says he has a top four right now. "LSU, Notre Dame, Auburn and Alabama are my top schools. Notre Dame is the only school that hasn't offered me. I'm going to take some visits before I make a decision. I hope to make a decision shortly after my season."

Robinson says he will visit Notre Dame for sure. "I will probably take my visit to Notre Dame during the season. I have a very strong interest in Notre Dame. I'm just waiting for them to offer. If they do offer, they will jump right to the top of my list."

Comments. Robinson is certainly interested in Notre Dame. Will the Irish offer him? I don't think he would commit right away if offered and I do think he will take a few visits but I do think the Irish are the school he is most interested in right now. Top Stories
