Pike one to watch

If you're looking for a tight end prospect for Notre Dame's recruiting class of 2014 there is a good chance the Irish will be checking out Devin Pike. Learn more about Pike and watch highlights from this season.

If there is a prospect out there that understands Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly you can look at Cincinnati (Ohio) Elder tight end Devin Pike. Pike, who stands 6-foot-5, 225-pounds grew up watching Kelly coach his older brother Tony Pike at the University of Cincinnati.

After sitting out his sophomore season due to Ohio transfer rules, Pike returned to the field this season playing tight end and defensive end. While early in the season Pike spoke of being a fulltime defender, he's changed his tune a little big after hearing from several coaches.

"I guess I did better at tight end and I like how it's going," said Pike.

So far Pike has picked up one offer from Illinois and is hearing from Ohio State, Cincinnati, Louisville and Northwestern to name a few.

The following are highlights from this season with Pike going up against some high level competition in Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward and Louisville (KY) Trinity to name a couple.
