Rigg Excited To Visit Irish

Junior tight end Jordan Rigg is looking forward to his upcoming visit to Notre Dame this weekend when the Irish battle Wake Forest.

Notre Dame continues to produce high level tight ends and those who play the position have taken notice.

Springboro (Ohio) tight end Jordan Rigg is no different and the 6-foot5, 230-pound junior will get a firsthand look at the Irish this weekend.

"I'm going up to Notre Dame for their game against Wake Forest," said Rigg. "I've never been to Notre Dame but a lot of members of my family have been there and loved it. So I'm really looking forward to the visit."

Coming off a junior year that saw Springboro go 10-0 before losing in the first round of the playoffs before jumping into basketball has kept Rigg busy. However, a chance to visit the Irish was too good to pass up.

"Notre Dame has been sending me a lot of mail," said Rigg. "But I've not really had a chance to talk with any of their coaches up to this point. However, I'm looking forward to learning more about the program.

"I've known about Notre Dame like a lot of other people from watching them on television and the movie Rudy, but I'm looking forward to seeing things myself.

Rigg is used mostly as a blocking tight end and also takes reps as a defensive lineman.
